What is the average price for a used bike in Chengdu? I’m not looking for a racing bike, but just something to get around. I’m moving to Chengdu in a month, so I just want to budget it.
totally depends on the kind of bike, but for a simple 1 speed bike, which is all you need in Chengdu, you should be able to find a used bike (stolen or not) for 100-200 RMB
Prices range from a few hundred kuai to many thousands. There are a few Giant shops in Chengdu and prices in there generally range from 1-15,000 rmb. I’d advise against spending a lot on a bike though because the likelihood of it getting stolen eventually is high, especially if it looks expensive.
