Partying for a week straight has taken a toll on my immune system and I woke up today with an awesome 101F fever. So I went out to search from some Tylenol and some hot soup.

My body wasn’t feeling up to the walk to Walmart where I could probably find some Tylenol, so I went to the corner Chinese medicine store to try my luck. I asked for some “fa shao yao” (发烧药) – fever medicine. It was pretty straightforward. The lady handed me a box and said to take 1-2 pills at a time up to 3 times a day. I paid 9.9 kuai for a box of 20.

I only took one about an hour ago because I’m paranoid about stomach ulcers (about 40% of all the fluids I’ve had in the past week have been alcoholic). Fever has come down a little bit.

Fuck me if I miss taco night over a little fever tonight.

Looks like you got the right thing – Tylenol/Ibuprofin seem to be nearly impossible to find but Paracetamol is everywhere. It works out though since they’re apparently almost the same thing.
