You can now upload an avatar image straight to the forum, in addition to supporting Gravatar as always.

    Here’s how it works:

    avatar-instructions.jpg

note: if you upload an avatar to the forum, it will override your Gravatar if you have one set.

another note: if you don’t see it change immediately, don’t fret. If it says the avatar uploaded successfully then it did and it will take a few minutes to appear.

It doesn’t work for me. I get redirected to Charlie’s profile.

When/when do you get sent to my profile when uploading your avatar? If you email me the image ([email protected]) or send me a link I can update it for you.

When I click the “your avatar” link it just redirects to your profile so I never get to the upload page.

Will email you in a bit.

I emailed you, but then I figured out the problem so you can just ignore it.

Nice, glad you got it working. Cool looking avatar.

Thanks. In case anyone else has a problem here’s what mine was:

For some reason my profile page doesn’t match my profile name. So the “your avatar” link attempts to go to a directory that apparently doesn’t exist and then just redirects to your profile.
