New to Chengdu

Hi all, names Danny and I just moved to Chengdu last week.

I’ve lived in China for the past 2 years, before that I was raised and educated in the US, specifically Colorado and California. I’m Chinese-American, fluent in Mandarin, but definitely more connected with my American side. With that said, I think China is awesome and I am always down to explore more of my culture and meeting new people (Chinese and lao wai).

Drop me a line if you are willing to help me break into the Chengdu expat scene. I’m down for almost everything, sports, biking, traveling, drinking, you name it.

Hey Charlie. I moved to China in 2012 for a Hilton hotels management training program in Wuxi. After the 2 year program ended, my relatives in Chengdu convinced me to come here to gain some more work experience and to soak in the culture for another year before I go back home to the US.

What I miss most about California is longboarding, the streets here are filled with holes, dog poop, and spit..
