So it seems somewhat standard for Chinese employers to ask for a photograph on your resume. Is there any guidance as to what sort of pictures employers are looking for? What is more important: looking professional or looking modest, attractive, friendly, trustworthy or even slim?
Obviously this will change depending on the job, but if anyone has any tips I’d be super grateful!
Look white, if you can. The most important thing is to look attractive and responsible, in my opinion (I see resumes often).
The rules are different for foreigners though, I haven’t seen a resume from a foreigner with a photo on it, even in China. Chinese people also include height, weight, and blood type on their resumes which I also think is probably not necessary for a foreigner applying for a job here.
