    Hi,

Would anyone know a reliable place in Chengdu for rooting a Samsung Galaxy SII mobile phone? I recently purchased one, but it cannot be connected to the Android Market/Google Play.

Cannot connect it to VPN either. Suggestions are welcome.

Rooting it yourself is pretty simple. You can easily find a guide online. But I don’t think you should need to root your phone/VPN to access the Play store.

(I don’t have to to access the store on my Droid 2 Global)

    Check this thread out:

Hope there’s a solution for you there.

Thanks, Chris Ziich for sharing the link! Finally managed to root the phone over the weekend.

If I had purchased the phone outside Mainland, then rooting was not necessary. However, Samsung phones in Mainland have blocked the access to Google Play Store in addition to other things.
