The term gets bandied about a lot but there are actual prostitutes there, not every passing mention of them or hoes at Jellyfish is a euphemism. Same goes for the other bars in Chengdu which are similar, Mooney’s, Shamrock, various places in LKF, etc. They are hook up venues that facilitate foreigners and Chinese girls who pursue foreigners, nothing necessarily wrong with that.
