Hi,
I was going to start a Chengdu Meet-up group, but as I am already on this forum and it seems to be used quite often thought I can see what the response is like on this.
I’m going to be new to Chengdu and I am a major foodie. I love trying new foods, dining at restaurants and cooking. Looking for other foodies.
Lets plan a Saturday and a restaurant and meet up.
I’m new so please suggest a restaurant that you have tried or want to try.
hmmm, I did say I was open to suggestions, so that’s fair, and surprisingly they may have really nice chicken wings there. I also read that the food at Wenshu Temple Veg Restaurant is tasty.

There are a lot of nice eating places here, especially those so called “fly restaurants” in town. Let us know what you are interested in and we may chow together.

When do you arrive in Chengdu?
You should check out the Underground Gourmet post series on the blog to get some suggestions for good restaurants. There are a ton of great places to eat in Chengdu.

I arrive on Wed 29th. I will not know where my apartment is until I get there. I do know that my work is somewhere Xindu so it has to be somewhere in that area and it seems that its close to Chengdu.
Shall we take a chance and make it for this Saturday September 1st at 6pm?

We are going to eat out at the Australia Fat Beef in Champagne Plaza, 3rd floor (香槟广场澳洲肥牛，in case you need to show a taxi driver the address）. It has an all you can eat beef hotpot and beer for ca.60 kuai per person.

I would love to meet up to try different restaurants and share some of the ones I know (usually around the yu lin area) but I can’t make it this Saturday – next time though!
I ate at Zhaojue Temple many years ago & it was excellent, it’s just a pity that it’s quite far away.

HI, I am new to Chengdu. I’ve only been here a month. I would love to join for one of your meet ups at a restaurant.

We will be meeting up this Saturday (8th Sept). I would like to check out the Wenshu Temple restaurant. Is 1pm ok?
