Bella. If you have the time I would suggest to take some time to self reflect and digest all the advice you got here.
If your English is good enough I would also recommend some books written by Paulo Coelho. They are usually useful in “finding your path”. I think especially the book called “Brida” might have some answers for you.

This is not really a ‘true friendship between genders’ question.
This is more of a ‘does he like me?’ and/or a ‘do I like him?’ question.
The answer to the ‘is there true friendship between genders’ question is, as Billy correctly put it, yes, as long as there is no attraction. That does not seem to apply in this case.
The answers to the questions ‘does he like me?’ and/or a ‘do I like him?’ are not things that strangers on the internet are well positioned to answer for you, but the likely answers seem to be yes, and yes.

After reading the great advice and repeated “but what if” and “why” type 5 year old response, I’d wish this Japanese dude all the luck in the world to avoid this iceberg.
