    Yes yes… Dehydration is spin cycle.

    And you are right about dryers beating up the clothes… I may check IKEA for some solutions, but in the meantime, I took the handle off my broom, took the rod out of my little closet and made it happen! Check the pic.

    BTW, Google translate said that last circle on the big round knob was “single dehydration” which I was *hoping* actually meant “dry”… YAY!

    Yes! Thanks Vincent… He is very tall, 6’4″ and we definitely brought all the shoes and long sleeve shirts he has. 😉

    We just got an apartment, wifi, starting to get settled, trying to sleep and rest up…..

    Speaking of winter…. How cold are we talking? Rainy or snowy? Windy? I’ve lived in the harshest blizzard areas of the Midwest US so I’m hoping for mild winters…

    Thanks for the replies! It’s reassuring to learn about Taobao and excellent advice to bring vitamins etc. This blog has been the best discovery! I’ve learned so much and am open to experiencing what is to come… Expecting the unexpected and ready to go with the flow…

    Thanks! I am torn between Vypr and Express… Torrent anyone? How about when using on public wifi or on celldata with an iPhone? Any suggestions or experience with either? Much appreciated! I want to make sure we are prepared before leaving…

    Hello! Hoping someone has a firm suggestion for a VPN that will work well for our needs… There are just too many to choose from! I am definitely going to check out Express, but please let me know if there is another solution or equipment we need to gather before departing the US next month.

    My partner and I will be working in Chengdu for at least a year, and we want to be able to simultaneously use our MacBook, 2 iPads, and 2 iPhones within our home, and possibly while at work. Normally, I would just hook up an Airport router to share out a single IP, but I don’t know if that is possible in China via a VPN service. Some of them seem to indicate that in order to use multiple devices at once, you have to buy either additional accounts or specific routers.

    I am very tech saavy and can handle flashing a router… I would love to hear from the Chengdu locals as to what VPN service may be best for us.
