Good tips 🙂 I can’t believe how freezing I am all the time, and I come from Scotland! Actually I’m going to buy some things from Uniqlo tomorrow as everyone is recommending it to me!!

How does the temperature now compare to February time? My friend is coming to visit and I want to go some cool places outside the city like Jiuzhaigou, but will it be too cold for that? I can probably look up the temperature, but how does it actually feel at that time? Because right now it seems a lot colder than the temperature actually is!! 🙁

Hey all thanks for the tips 🙂

I know the tool you’re talking about as they cut a SIM in the shop to check if it would work in my phone. Unfortunately since my iphone isn’t jailbroken the Chinese SIM didn’t work and they wanted 800RMB to make it happen. I’m not so good with technology (obviously!) so I have no idea whether this is the going rate for doing that kind of thing (and honestly I didn’t really trust them to do it!).

So… solution was just buy a new cheapo phone with Chinese SIM. Shame I keep getting spammed with texts that I cannot read!

Thanks! Had a feeble attempt at opening an account with my temporary ID that I got when they started the permits process and a photocopy of my passport. Bit of a fail! Guess I’ll just have to wait.
