Can anyone help me with crossfit terms in Chinese? Is it even translated? I’m after words like kettlebell swing, thrusters, medicine ball slams, etc thanks for your help!

thanks so much for all of your help! Definitely feeling more comfortable that i can tackle it solo now. Unfortunately weekend is my only time i can go so will have to battle some crowds but will definitely take everyones advice and go the opposite way to the crowds!

One more question? I plan on flying into Jiuzhai airport on early Friday morning and would like to also do Huanglong in addition to Jiuzhai. Would taxi drivers take you to Huanglong, wait for you and then take you to your accommodation? Or is it best to head to my accommodation first?

Any suggestions of best way to do both parks would be great.

    Hi Kim,

Thank you so much. Yes my main concern was getting a taxi from the airport to the hotel since they seem to be an hour away from the airport. I had visions of me stuck without any options but it sounds like it won’t be a problem. In that case i am happy to go solo. 🙂

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

    Cheers, Emma

yeah i know but dealing with moving around Jiuzhai to and from the airport and then onto Huanglong by myself is not my idea of fun.

    Hi all,

thank you so much for your help! I’ll head to China Unicom on the 2nd and change companies so at least I’ll feel like I’ve got something for my money. 🙂

I signed up for Wooton, by far the nicest gym i have ever seen in China. As i am only here for 4 months i paid a relatively high price but it’s definitely worth it. Also because it is new there aren’t too many people in there… well at least not today anyway.

On another note i forgot to bring my protein shaker to China and cannot find one anywhere! All i am looking for is virtually a drink bottle with a metal ball in it.. any ideas???

    Thanks, Emma

Thanks Jerry! I have also seen online there is a Crossfit gym that has opened a few weeks ago – Crossfit Tianfu. They are offering free trials on wechat.

Does anyone actually know what the quality and cost for Sichuan University gym is for students there? Cannot find any information on it at all……

I am moving to Chengdu in September to study at Sichuan University for a semester. I was hoping some Crossfit style gyms would have opened by now! Jerry do you know what the name of the new gym is?
