Julian09Participant
204 is bad enough. Thanks for posting photos and current info!
Julian09ParticipantJust read the US Consulate’s AQI reading-181. Another source (http://www.aqicn.info/city/chengdu/) says 437 updated Wed, Mar 13th, at 9am.
Julian09ParticipantKetchup dip’s my fav! My husband and I might be interested. Do you know what night you’re going?
Julian09ParticipantWatched the video you recommended, Maoxinyu. Guy’s got a very nice voice. Here’s one link to a translation. Not sure how accurate it is. http://jaychoustudio.com/jay-chou-translations/fireworks-cool-easily/137 I’m interested in beginning Mandarin course as well, starting week of 25th. I’d be interested in trying out a class with you. I’ll be in touch.
Julian09ParticipantThese ‘toy’ pigs are somewhat popular in the States, too. One caveat, if you feed them too much (which they enjoy), they’ll morph out of the tiny category and into the not-so-tiny category, making them maybe not the cute cuddly pet you were dreaming of. Are you planning on taking it home with you when you leave China, assuming that you will? If you make an intelligent animal a pet and then leave it in a country where they’re frequently on the menu, well… I’m one of those corny ‘furever’ kinda people who think if you adopt anything, you better be making a committment to it for its life, and not that it will end on somebody’s dinner plate. Just sayin’ maybe give it a little more thought 🙂
Julian09ParticipantSorry we missed this! Thanks for all the great photos. All Hail Fixie Queen!
Julian09ParticipantThanks, again for the replies. I’ll definitely check out Handson Chengdu.
Julian09ParticipantHands on Chengdu looks like a very cool program. Thanks! I’ll check that out, too.
Julian09ParticipantCharlie and Frederico, thanks very much for your replies! The map is very very helpful, as well. Thanks, also, for this excellent forum. Lots of great info here. J
Julian09ParticipantThanks for the replies! I’ll definitely check out the English corners and also the Chinese classes at Creative Spaces.
