    As for Raspberry Pi, mini2440 may be a better choice for many.

    Why don’t he just buy some blow-up dolls and play with them at home?

    It’s a kind of art that i cann’t understand?

    A long insightful article. Yes, full of pain that you have to bear for old and young in the 100-year suffering China. But try your best, keep positive, as a poem said “The darkness give me black eyes, but i use it to look for light(黑夜给了我黑色的眼睛,我却用它来寻找光明)”

    Quote:
    Lastly, I think expats all share a common thread: we are the unconventional. We all left our home for a strange place that speaks a different language, and we know that life is better when you break out of that bubble and live for yourself, on your own script. We’re in the minority in our own countries but in China, there are so few who have the courage to defy convention. Whether it’s China’s Confucian ancestry or the hardships of the last 60 years, this is just not that kind of place

    These lines strike me. The tradition of encouraging creation and uniqueness really make me envy the education/culture of westerners. Thanks to the technology that’s changing the world, i am lucky enough to know the existance of a broader more colorful world and have my own thoughts. Yes, confucian did give some good advice, 活到老,学到老(one should keep learning more as long as he/she is alive)

    I am a Chinese, but i can’t represent China, just represent myself. Personally, i prefer Obama, cuz he has a talent of making speeches.

    But that’s all, just for speeches, not politics. I don’t know much about politics, and don’t care. If i have to say somthing about politics, I would say politicians are all liars. And China’s politicians/liars even don’t need to cover the fact that they are lying. I pay more attention to the China goverment than US, but it makes me upset.

    @Charlie I am in ChengDu now. Acctually I have not been to many cities in China. just several. When i say “city”, i means the whole, not one. I agree with you for “The key to begging, in my opinion, is being able to contribute something in exchange for the money that you’re asking for.” but still cann’t release myself easily.

    @Yan
    I think you are very kind person.

    I am very intrested in ” how do expats thinking about chinese”. Because a different view always tell you something that’s invisible for yourself(它山之石,可以攻玉). When i know some flaws, i feel face-lost. spating,peeing,cutting in line… it’s so embarassed to know those from a foreigner. But that *donn’t* make me sad. I know that it will take a long time for a peasant’s daughter to become a queen. What make me sad is some other serious things. the beggars, people’s indifference, lost of the soul. When you see the skin, you are embarassed. When you see the bone, you are sad.

    7:00 am! a little too early for me. But we will take the first bus, so, ok.

    I think the best meeting spot is the entrance of the bus station. It won’t be hard to find each other.

    @Lucy Knowles I just Baidu(just like google) the way to go to leshan. It seems that the best palace to set up to leshan from chengdu is XinNanMen bus station. North Railway Station isn’t a good option. Where do you stay in ChengDu, maybe you can take a bus to XinNanMen instead of a taxi to save some money. As for the cost, I think 300 RMB is enough including the ticket to see the Buddha, eating, bus ticket…

    Maybe we can go together. My English is poor, especially when it comes to oral English. But My Chinese is definitely good! ^_^

    Looking forward to the trip, still working today!
