Ipad 3 in HK starts from about HK$4,000 (Yuan 3,200) and warranty is very limited. It does costs a fortune for parts or damages… If your guest bought it from HK, he/she probably knows and that’s why willing to pay the price.

9 1/2 years in China!! Not easy and you must be a Chinese in one of your previous lives to have such a link with China! 🙂

Yes indeed, Shanghai has seen 200,000/m2.. though it might be quite an extreme case, I think even a 20,000/m2 in CD isnt far away. Among several 2nd tier cities I have been, I do find CD a nice place to live and with a lots of opportunities, development going on. So whether or not there is an justification, giving a 5 or 10 years more, price now will be a very good deal, I believe 🙂

Thanks very much Rick in China. Your info is very useful to me. I am still exploring different areas of Chengdu and will definitely go to take a look of the City Springs. After having read all the other posts and I am not in a rush at all, I would take my time too. Many brand new buildings here are now selling around 12,000rmb/m2, that is in my mind less than 1/10 of the property price in HK whereas average income in HK is not 10 times more of Chengdu…and of course it is hard to compare the two cities.. and we all know HK property is in the peak and crazy stage. Anyway, I agree with Brendan that there will be a justification..

I have the same interests here. However since properties here have very poor maintenance n worn out so quick, i would consider only new ones i.e. within 1-2 yrs n in good areas where property price seems more secutrd. Agent told me there will be 2% agent fee & a kind of sales tax to govt i.e about 6-7%… so it will add about 10% up as cost. If there is any another hidden costs? Anyone knows? And if a foreigner can alone buy a property here? Any condition? And any idea who is the best developer here? Any input is highly appreciated.

I just wish to add that, prescription with insect may not be inappropriate cos it depends on the patiet’s inner/body condition. The doctor may include it for some other adjustment about the body that may help the patient recover quicker. My english is not good. I hope you can understand what I meant. 🙂

I am Chinese from Hong Kong. I have long history taking chinese medicines and I have studied a little about chinese medicine too. For sickness like coughing, sneeze, cold, flu… it generally does not require the use of any ‘insects’ but only some different ‘leaves’ or ‘plants’

Chinese medicine has a 5000+ years of history and is indeed very good and efficient. Only nowadays, it is not easy to find one real, genuiue chinese doctor that is good. So, in my opinion, unless you know one that is really good, it is better to avoid especially in China and for a westener who dont have the basic knowledge about chinese medicines.
