Yeah, I’m not a huge fan of that dish, though it does look pretty.

Other dishes are well worth it, though.

…which is exactly the kind of “diagnosis” I am hoping to avoid.

    Any international doctors, then?

That turned out to be wrong. Guess it’s back to square one, then.

According to this 百度知道, there should be a dedicated 张小泉 shop in the 人人乐 mall on 沙湾 road.

Guess I’ll check it out tomorrow!

I would prefer a physical store so I could have a look at it. Can’t buy from Taobao as I don’t have (nor intend to get) a Chinese bank account – leaving in 3 months.

My favourite is in Kunming. It’s a small clothing store called Unsightly & Peculiar.

Or 七林茶, helpfully translated to 7ADEFH TKUHO

I got in touch with the SHIC, and they have a 3-month cooking course (mandarin) starting on the 1st of March, for 15k rmb.

I’m very, very tempted to just jump at the chance. Obviously this is taking it to the next level, but I can make it work, I think.

There’s “hold住”, which basically means “hang in there” (and the accompanying hold得住吗?)

And 给力 of course, which I am surprised hasn’t been mentioned yet。给力 is flexible enough to be used as “the shit” and “shit”. Not particularly apt, but it demonstrates the flexibility of it. Bad things can be 给力;awesome things even more so.
