Don’t forget tomorrow!  Meet up around 7 in the evening.  We plan to set out at 8 p.m.

There’s a gift exchange if you’d like to bring something along to put in the pile.  Free homemade cider to drink.

Looking like there ought to be a crowd.  We’ll be handing out Santa Suits to the first 30 or so people who can make it!

    Happy holidays!

It’s very nice in the week as not much traffic and also at the moment those evil red dirt trucks are not allowed on the mountain.

Bravo!  Glad someone’s taking advantage of being near the hills.  When we did Kill the Hill last January they had just broken ground on a new fill project halfway up the hill.  The first half of the race was spent racing a line of those trucks dumping clay all over the road.

We’ve been using VPN.ac lately around here.  There’s a dedicated set of servers optimized to handle traffic being rerouted from China.  The configuration app is also pretty straightforward and offers easy access to tweak your connection settings.  OpenVPN ECC/XOR/256-bit all seem to work alright alongside L2TP, just depends.

Like any service anymore I think it can be a bit touch and go so you’ve got to be on top of switching up connection settings, servers etc.  sometimes still it’s a bit slow.

Been happy with VPN.ac’s service and their commitment to sorting out extra workarounds for China-based clients.  Pretty cheap and if you sniff around for reviews and such you can usually get the service way cheaper.  A recent special was even as little as just over $2 a month (for a year upfront).

    Frames and Forks 40% Off

    Complete Bikes 20% Off

We wouldn’t offer a free event to the public if we planned on ostracizing attendants!

You may get grief if your bike is in poor repair however…

This Sunday December 7th we will be heading southeast from the city center through the country for a 45 km loop starting and finishing at Natooke 成都. Anyone interested in participating should arrive at Natooke 成都 by 9:30am and we will set out by 10am. The event should take about 4 hours. We recommend each person or group has an inner tube repair kit/pump among them in the event of a puncture. Rental bicycles are available ! Just call and reserve one. Helmet, gloves, etc. are not required but highly recommended. Safety first!

    Naughty & Nice

We at Natooke are looking forward to the second iteration of last year’s Saint Nick’s Christmas Eve Cruise.  This year expect the same jolly times.

    Share the spirit:

    • 30 Free Santa suits up for the early birds
    • Hats and beards for everyone!
    • Hot apple cider and mulled wine!
    • A short “sleigh ride” round town
    • Gift exchange! (Please keep the value of your gift within 100元)
    • Post ride events!

Not convinced?  Check out the photos above!  No special requirements.  Just ride a bike.  If you don’t have one, we also offer rentals.

If you or your business are interested in getting involved in some way, drop us a line!  We love it when the community comes together and what better time than the holiday season?

    Happy Holidays!

You could also rent a bike and do a short whirl around town.  Chengdu is rather bicycle friendly and the weather usually permits.

My favorite thing about Chengdu is that it’s never too cold to go out and cruise.  As usual, meet at Natooke at 8 p.m. and join us for a music fueled tour around town.

Don’t be a turkey.  Get out and ride!

Tonight!  This is the last occasion we’ll be offering our rentals for the Friday ride at no cost.  Now that I’ve mentioned that, I should say that they’ve all already been booked.  Hope to see you around tonight!

Last week we rolled 50+ deep at one of the best showings for Natooke Chengdu’s Friday Night Ride.  Justin Andrews offered homemade vanilla and chocolate ice cream…delicious.  Jacob and Larry gave out “Natooke” key chain/bottle openers to all in attendance.  Fun was had by all!!!!

Here is a clip we put together from last week’ s Friday Night Ride.  Great company, new friends, and an amazing vibe as we owned Chengdu’s streets for a bit over an hour.

If you want to join us this week, meet up before 8PM at Natooke. If you need a bike please call 85042450 on Friday to reserve one.  Call early because they go quick.

Totally glad you made it out!  Hopefully you can make it in the next couple weeks.  Hell, we do it every week so it’s impossible to miss out on, really.
