Hi everyone,
I was going to ask this exactly question and found the thread. Looking as well for a 24/7 English speaking hospital for emergencies. So far it seems that the Huaxi hospital is an option? does anyone else have tried it? do they actually have English speaking doctors and nurses?. Interested on knowing whether they are part of an insurance group e.g. Bupa. I have tried Global Doctors and Parkway but they are only open during office hours and forget about their 24/7 emergency lines (one only answered at the 3rd time and the other connects you to Shanghai!). I have to recognize that going to a Chinese hospital isn’t my first option but if they speak English that will be an option. Any experience to share? do we have to register? how it works? Does anyone has more info about other 24/7 English speaking medical services?
many thanks for any info!
roxanaParticipantDoes anyone has access to chinese news? Apparently there was a car detained last night on the 2nd ring. Not clear about what happened.
roxanaParticipantRecien veo este posting… a ver si el proximo 🙂
roxanaParticipantIs this going to happen as well next week? Would love to go…. the best part of the season! Starting getting into the mood!
roxanaParticipantThere are different prices. I am not sure but I think the cheapest is 180. http://Www.damai.cn or at the ticket boot in the theatre…strange thing is that the ticket itself doesn’t have the price printed, only the seat number. There are plenty of performances during Chistmas, even St Petersburg ballet!! I was surprised when I discovered this by chance a couple of weeks ago 🙂
roxanaParticipantIt’s a place where they have performances. Found it in the chinese ticketmaster sort of website. Actually they had a musical show that seemed very nice.
roxanaParticipantNow I understand. Things were with 50% dct in the mall yesterday.
roxanaParticipantThanks! I didn’t but google understood it 🙂
So far away, pity.roxanaParticipantRia I am interested, somehow didn’t see your post before. Could you please pm me and let me know how can we do? Tks. It will be helpful also if you can send a map (I am trying to google the address but not sure if it is my internet connection or what, but it is not working 🙁 ..)
roxanaParticipantInteresting…I was discussing with a friend about that today. Iraglassismyher do your husband offers fixed tours or is it only at request? do they have a website where I can check? Going to Tibet is something that I would like to do and somehow disregarded when I read about all the restrictions. I assume that spring/summer may be a better time for me to travel there.
@Vannina, if you can share your notes after your return, that will be awesome!roxanaParticipantThanks guys!
I was checking your suggestions, seems that Nonoh has the better rates for the countries that I want to call (much cheaper that the other one mentioned Jajah). I’ve checked that Facetime is just for apple (I have android). The appl that I use and works great (you cannot notice any difference with a phone!) is Viber, the problem is that it requires both parties to be subscribed 🙁
Many thanks!
Roxana
PS. @ Sascha I tried to sent you a pm about the boxes but somehow it seems that those never went out. I still have a couple of small packing boxes and a relatively big one (can carry 4 boxes). pm me if still interested.roxanaParticipantWell the tickets are gone, but grateful if you please share info on where to buy them and also get info about performances. Found a link in english but it is outdated and doesn’t have any info at all. Thanks!
roxanaParticipantThanks!!
roxanaParticipantI am trying to get more info about the Catholic Church. When i tried with google maps got different results for location and it is shown in completely different locations. Does anybody have more info or a reference point? I also tried to send them an email that i got from another posting but there is an error and it bounced back. Also, any info about mass schedules (English) will be highly appreciated.
Thanks!roxanaParticipantSorry, the speller changed my word. You can get nice pics from there… have to be more careful and review before hit the send key!! Apologies :(… ok, crisis control… found the edit function 🙂
roxanaParticipantThe view from the fraser 7th floor bar is really nice, if you go further away from the bar and turn back you will get nice pictures from the city buildings and their lights.
roxanaParticipantHola Claudia, es Roxana(P). te acabo de mandar un pm. Sorry, se me perdieron tus datos y el inbox de aqui parece que se elimina despues de cierto tiempo 🙁
roxanaParticipantHi everyone, same situation here. Will move to Chengdu in few months, so perusing the web trying to find as much info as possible. Any insight about where to live, abc of living there will be awesome. I am enjoying reading the posts! This will be my first time ever in China (not counting a very short visit to HK :)…). Actually my experience traveling around Asia is very limited as well. Any hints, tips and insight would be more than welcome! Quick question, any advise on what should I bring with me? Thanks! Roxana
