Nele- Sorry, I’m pretty new here, so I haven’t seen any other spa type places for facials. I’ll ask my coworkers. 300 kuai is pretty steep. Even 100 is pretty steep for a pedicure, but it’s close to where I live and it’s the first one I’ve seen.

I live super close to that area, so I’d be down to meet there. I didn’t know there was such a place, sweet.

Nele- the nail place is right next to the spa. It’s called Miss Coco. You can’t miss it; they do nails for both hands and feet.

Nele- There is a place that does pedicures right next to the spa at the galleria- 3rd floor. It’s called Miss Coco I think. They offer a 20% discount for first timers. It’s around 100 kuai. I live in the area, so I tried it last week. Very convenient if you are headed to the spa as well.

Damn, I totally missed this past Saturday. Last thread I saw was this weekend, so is there one this weekend? Also, did I read that there is an events calendar? With an “invite” option?

Maybe we could tweak the pub golf a bit. I think if I did that one, id be wasted for days!! Maybe make it not so hard?? Having an organized game always makes for a fun time!

    I’m down for pub golf!

I’m new to the Du and my Chinese is super lacking, so I would do a piss poor job of organizing! Once I become more familiar, I’m totally down for organizing a pub crawl.

No, worries. I was just curious if the community had something like that or similar:)

It’s a group of people that get together and go from pub to pub. It’s usually an event, like a theme or an activity. In the states, we had a pirate pub crawl where everyone dressed up like pirates and stopped in to have a beer at every pub along a certain route. Sometimes, there is a map and a scavenger hunt where you are to visit a select number of pubs, have a beer, and get the next clue to the next pub. Things like that. There are running ones too.

I currently work in the Le Parc area, and we are starting our school inside the clubhouse nearby since our school is not done with construction yet. In the clubhouse, there is a very nice pool and gym- like activitites, but no yoga. If you are looking for a swimming pool, this is the only one I know of in this area right now.

Thanks Brave- good information. I have figured out the metro thing, now just to get a bus card. Thanks for the ypga info!! I’m super stoked to hear that!

Thanks guys!! I’m overwhelmed with info, but I’ll get it.

Yes, metro check, but haven’t found out how to get a card??

Love hiking, lived in Alaska for 6 years and did many hikes. I definitely want to check out whatever I can!

I’ve been wanting to try out hotpot, but finding people to venture out with is my challenge.

Also, I just got wifi hooked up, so I’m researching “how to’s”.

Anyone know of yoga in chengdu??

    Thanks. I’m open to anything!

I’m not just looking for foreigners, I just was interested in finding people to socialize with and introduce me to living in Chengdu:) Maybe my post came out wrong, oops.

I think one of my challenges is that I’m located just outside of the 3rd ring!! Swanky digs, but super far from city life.

Hope to see some of ya’ll around!!
