As if! Go sell that stuff on Taobao, like you said you would however number of months ago. You’re wasting your time if you’re not willing to deal. Technology evolves; people are not going to pay such high prices for outdated tech, especially when far better machines can be had for only a little more money.

Id like to see you buy a far better machine for a little more, when buying on ebay you have no idea what you get until it arrives, at least here you have the chance to go look at it before you buy it.

If you want to give advice, do it where it matters! Not where 450 kwai is at stake

I am just here to find a home for some of my stuff before I leave in 2 weeks. I am failing to see your issue here. You told me it was half of my asking price on ebay. I went away spent some time to find a similar model on ebay (in my case I found inferior/broken models for a higher price) so people have some point of reference. If it doesn’t interest you or meet your needs for that price that’s cool. I am chatting with numerous people discussing different deals about all of the items on sale. I haven’t been discourteous to you in anway so I am not sure why all the hostility.

ig246z is either just bored or broke!! Nothing better to do than complaining about 450rmb, if you don`t like it don’t buy it. Go hassle someone else or better yet STFU!!

Yifyyao I`ve been looking for you, you are the asshole who invited me on we chat and when I didn’t want to answer your questions you left a very disrespectful message and deleted me. Coming from what seems to be an employment agency you are very unprofessional and blatantly arrogant! Charlie I hope you see this and remove this ASSHOLE from Chengdu Living!

Sorry Frankie, it’s not really my place to interfere. It’s probably a good idea to assume that any school you interact with in Chengdu will be trying to take advantage of you. Act accordingly…

I never interacted with him he found my number on the site.  I left my number so one of my mates could contact me who was in need of assistance. Yifyyao however did apologize in a PM. Thank you anyway.

You can try working for a agency, they have their ways of getting you a residence permit or working visa, they do however take a huge cut off your salary. But then again you will be able to work here in which case they provide accommodation and every thing else. No one can work without a visa or foreign expert certificate.

As for the 100 000 rmb fine, never heard of that before.  I have personally spoken to a view teachers where grading and scores are concerned, if they get failed by a expat teacher with a valid reason then all is well. Not all schools allow expats to do the grading, if they do it gets looked over by the Chinese teachers in any case.

    Hi all,
I currently live in Tianjin where I work as an English teacher, but I would like to move to Chengdu in the autumn. I have almost 3 years teaching experience and by summer I will be CELTA trained. I work in a high school teaching International Baccalaureate English where I am currently being offered 16,000rmb per month (and a free flat) to stay here another year.

I’ve been looking at several Chengdu expat forums for English teaching jobs and haven’t found anything offering anywhere near the salary I am already on. I would really like to move to Chengdu but don’t want to take a pay cut to do so.

What I would like to know is if it is realistic for a qualified teacher with some experience to earn a similar or higher salary to the one I am on now. If anyone could offer some advice or point me in the right direction to find such a job then I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thank you!
    Mike

When you find a job paying that amount in chengdu feel free to let us know. Besides having 4-5 extra jobs on side. Good luck

Myself and my wife bought the OPPO Find 5, it truly is a manificent phone and it beats the iphone in all categories hands down. Had the phone now now for 5 months and absolutely no problems. Every month a new update comes out with more added features to the software. You can compare the new iphone and the oppo online and the oppo beats basically every single new smatphone out there. Only costs 3000 RMB compared to the iphone 5 for 5500 or 4500 RMB.

Thinner, lighter, made of ali, still does not compare to the oppo`s specs, put them side by side and youll see a huge difference, not forgetting the price tag. Battery life maybe better but whats inside the iphone is not worth the price. iTunes and app store, sure, whatever you can find there android can get. Apple is purely a  image thing, way too over priced, you pay for the name nothing else.

We own a ipad mini and its not that impressive, the games constantly crash, the thousands of adds in between game time, the annoying password verification. All this for a hefty price tag. Not worth it.

But then again everyone has their own opinion.

Hey Jerry, I hear what you say. Before I offend you in your version of  living like a king I will rather stop everything here.

It was nice having this discussion with you but it seems to be getting out of hand now. You seem like a really nice guy and it would of been nice getting to know you under different circumstances, maybe have a beer or 2 somewhere. So you can enlighten me on what is what in your country.

Have a good evening and keep well!!!

Thank you Collin for your input, at least somebody with the some common sense and know hows of  Teachers and salary`s. My goal was not to offend anybody just to enlighten them of the current scams and greedy agents floating around. In one of these job postings they offer you a 8000rmb monthly salary which is good but only a 1000rmb housing allowance. In what hole are you suppose to live for a 1000rmb a month? Its ridiculous if you ask me. They should at least offer you housing to share with a flat mate, and not let you squander around looking for something decent to live in while you busy making them money at the end of the day.
