@Ian–Will do! Where are you going to get your tiling/cabinets/flooring etc?
Some of these posts are making me nervous about our house. We bought one over by Ikea. Should get the keys early next year. Will be looking for advice in the coming months 😀

A Chinese friend of mine just opened a production studio in Chengdu. I think he is doing a lot of commercial stuff or just whatever comes up. He is traveling at the moment but when he gets back I can get more details.

I think for the second attempt you have to show what has changed from the first attempt to prove that she will come back. So, property, kids, or business might be enough proof.

My father-in-law just told me this 20% tax is not applicable to Sichuan province, only Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou. But I don’t have any other source for this info.

Don’t know why everybody’s hating. Not that hard. Found a guzheng teacher in no time and she spoke great english. Just start talking to some people around any university with a music program and I’m sure somebody knows somebody who would love to get a chance to make some more money. Maybe they won’t have perfect english but you don’t really need much when learning music. Good luck!
