Hell yeah man.  Come by my shop and we can tell you all about our regular rides and events.  We are always looking for people to join our rides and bike polo.  Look for a post soon about a 2 day trip to ride the Western Sichuan Short Loop, from Dujiangyan (都江堰) over Ba Lang Shan (巴郎山), 4460m, to Ri Long (日隆镇), through Baoxing (宝兴), to Ya’an (雅安), then bus back to Chengdu.

We, Natooke, are leading a group bike ride out to the Dojo party this afternoon.  We’ll leave from the shop at 5ish, surely by 5:30.  Anyone is welcome to join us for a leisurely cruise out to the Dojo.  As they say, more the merrier!!!!

I’ve been for both of the prior house parties from early on til everyone’s passed out.  No matter your schedule or what you want there’s something to enjoy at any time.  The food, the music, the drinks, the location.  Holy hell!  I spent nearly 5 years in Beijing and it’s near impossible to find a house like this, especially one that’s putting on this sort of event.

Definitely looking forward to the next one.  And for transportation we’ll be hosting two group rides out to the spot.  I’ll post times soon enough!

It’s possible.  I’ve heard of a number of openings in different universities throughout Chengdu.  Also, if you’re interested there are a number of satellite cities that have universities and vocational institutes that are even more likely to jump at the chance to add to their foreign staffing.

Larger more prominent universities tend to land teachers and keep them, so I’d start asking smaller schools.  Just start e-mailing!

We have a bicycle shop.  We’re currently interested in finding a potential intern to help around our space.  As a startup small business in China there’s plenty of hands-on experience to be had and we’re looking to expand our marketing to break into new areas of customers.  This, as you can imagine, would provide a far different experience than the classroom but would put his understanding of business and marketing principles into practice.  Although a retail business, we’re involved in a number of different projects including event organization and advertising as well as researching and developing new products.  Scheduling would also be very flexible.

If he’s interested have him email, [email protected]

If you don’t have a team can you not participate?

Sure you can register as an individual.  Come the day of the event we will randomly compile 4 person teams from the pool of individual registrants.

Are you still planning to do a number of hill climbs over the Summer Larry? If so it’d be great to get some dates in advance.

Yes. This is the start of a long series. We’re hoping we can do a number of these in a year, keeping track of which teams win etc., and treating it as a sort of Stanley Cup of local riding talent.

Natooke? I thought they only did fixies?

We do fixed gear, single speed, and internally geared city bikes as well as trick bikes or conversions. Frame sizes range from 44cm through 66cm and are available in 7 different frame types/geometries made of aluminum (aluminium), steel, and carbon. We also do fully custom frames (ie, every tube length customized for body type) that can be done in all sorts of aluminum and steel alloys or tubing types.

We have a lot at our disposal in terms of frames, forks, components, etc. so, with the exception of traditional geared road and mountain bikes, we can make bikes ideal for nearly any body type that are perfect for romping around the city or beyond.
