Did you get rid of that display port adapter too?

Umm… McDonald’s admitted to using “mealworm” their burgers in emerging markets years (decades?) ago. I doubt they’ve stopped.

How’d that half marathon go? It looks like tomorrow is scheduled to be another bright, clear day!

Different people like different things. Let’s just say I’m not a city person, and I knew that when moving to China.

I mentioned the mountains because many westerners seem to forget they are there. Except for Charlie of course, and a few others.

If you like the outdoors, being at the edge of the Tibetan plateau has its advantages. Beautiful hiking, serious mountaineering, maybe some rock climbing and rafting too.

So, has anybody here come across a rotten egg? Or are chickens here so much healthier that their eggs never go bad? They do taste better (the chickens and the eggs) so something is being done right.

130rmb/hour to ride lifts, I’ve heard. OK if you ski a few hours, but a very high price for a whole day. And I’ve heard from two people that they have no heat in any of the buildings.

My nephew saw the report on TV and insisted it was in/near Tianfu Square. Or maybe it isn’t.

My wife and I recently shipped 10 boxes of stuff, door to door, from the US. It took a long time (4 months), but the company (Sevenseas – they have offices in US, UK and here) got the right paper work for us and didn’t hit us with surprise fees. Just the price for the shipping, 130rmb inspection fee and 200rmb import taxes on a bike and DVD player. We had other taxable electronics and sporting goods, but customs was merciful. I don’t think we ever had to talk to anybody at customs directly.

Now the real question is: why the hell did we bring a DVD player?

We’re in Rilongzhen (four ladies area) and there’s hardly any snow. Nice blue skies, though.

WTF? “Cranberry White Chocolate Mocha”? That sounds horrible. Maybe GoChengdoo can get Dandoval to drink that thing.

The good meds will be in the pharmacy inside a hospital. Probably a different selection than your home, and I think it’s all prescription.

I think Sabrina’s has a few OTC meds from the US too.

Thats a great price for a hand grinder. I got a Japanese-made one in the US for about double the price (and found the same one at Ito Yokado for even more.)

I also saw that Carrefour has coffee cones now, maybe the filters too. That’s what I’ve been using for years, but it’s not as fast as that press.

We made it, and it was a lot better than riding the 2nd ring road construction sites.

There are a bunch of jumps and some XC trails winding around hills, but it isn’t huge.

I didn’t find the place on Friday, but I’ll see you at Carrefour tomorrow.

Is that near QSI/American Garden? I’ll be riding by there in the morning and can check it out. Very likely that I’ll ride on Sunday.
