Been there hit that. Had three bike pull out in front of me. Two got out of the way, but one just stopped. There was no way for me to stop, no where else to go and she had no idea what was about to hit her.

She didn’t appear to be hurt, or too angry, so I just help her pick up her stuff and then got outa there.

And there is plenty of stuff like that between the locals.

I’ve heard there is a special bus to some military facilities in Mianyang. Probly not supposed to talk about it…

And my favorite chinese restaurant is on the ground floor of the Carrefour near Yanlord/Fraser Suites. It’s more of a lunch place, but there lots of choices and everything is fresh and tasty. Might be called “Yusty”, or maybe that’s just what the napkins say.

If you need to eat somewhere near that Pizza Hut, there’s a big cafeteria-style place on the ground floor of the Carrefour building. Lots of choices, always fresh and clean. Probably my favorite Chinese restaurant (and I’ve been to a bunch).

I think the place is called “Yusty”, but there is no sign in english.

That route goes through Rilongzhen, near the four ladies. Beautiful area to ride. But anybody that’s going should know that the road from Dujiangyan to Wolong is definately not skinny-tire-friendly. Plus, the pass near Rilongzhen is 4600m. Much respect to anybody that does this!

That’s a good amount to start with. Are you planning to just siphon into bottles when it’s done?

If you need something smaller (in a pickling jar style) there are available locally. I have seen them down to about 1 gallon.

Is this different from a pickling jar? I’d love to know how this turns out. Will trade homebrew for homebrew.

    And how’s that little distillery?

I got the trial of malwarebytes onto an old dell recently, sans VPN. Even after deleting everything I could manually, it still found a bunch more files to delete. And the browser homepage still had to be changed manually…

Ray- Chris is right. 360 is so bad you might need another antivirus program to get rid of it.

My method is to use the VPN all the time, the rest of the web is way cleaner than here.

    Good luck.

Technically, it’s an inversion layer. The mountains around us, especially the Tibetan plateau, create warm air at high altitude. As the air moves over the higher land and slides over the edge of the plateau, it stays at the same altitude. So we usually have a layer of warm air a few thousand meters above us.

Normally when sunlight (or factories or cars) warms the air at ground level it just rises way up to be carried away by the wind. But in our case the air starts to rise, as expected, and when it hits the layer of unusually warm air above us, it stops. The air from our ground level cools as it rises, so that when it meets the air that came off the plateau, it is actually cooler than the air above it. So, the only way for that dirty air to escape to to go sideways. And since there are mountains on three sides of us, blocking the wind, it just stays here.

Back when agriculture was the main activity here, the trapped air would have just formed clouds, great for growing more crops. But now that we have industrial pollution, things are kinda f-ed.

I’m on the east/southeast near the first ring road and can look east and south from my place, looks like around 250. Visually it has been a lot worse before.
