JustinParticipant
I was planning on heading down with you but, I popped off a curb tonight and my handlebars snapped in half. So I’ve got to take care of that tomorrow. Have fun, maybe I’ll catch you next time.
JustinParticipantI’m interested in riding out tomorrow, I don’t have a mountain bike in Chengdu, but I’d still like to ride down and check it out. Where are you gonna head out from?
JustinParticipantIt’s pretty easy to find a designated “bike parking” they are usually at bigger shopping centers/complexes with a guard. You pay 0.5-1 RMB and the guy will supposedly watch it for you. I’ve had good luck at these places and if your bike looks nicer, they’ll usually keep it closer to where they stand. Just make sure to ask what time they close.
JustinParticipantMachu Picchu is a good spot for a drink. Sunday night may be hit or miss, but it’s cozy and there are usually some people there willing to have a conversation.
JustinParticipantQuote:one of the best inventions that I’ve come across in ChinaThese things are great, a real life saver. We’ve have a simple one you just fill with hot water. If you put towards you feet in your bed when you go to sleep it will defiantly keep you warm all night long.
JustinParticipantJustinParticipantIt’s pretty easy to go from Shenzhen to HK and usually much cheaper to fly in to SZ. Crossing the border should be no problem as long as your visa isn’t expired.
JustinParticipantIt was a fun show and the biggest hip-hop event I’ve been to in Chengdu. The crowd seemed to get more hype for the home town CDC crew. Fat Shady looked like he got a lot of love and had a big group of fans waiting for autographs after the show.
JustinParticipantThe last time I got a Z Visa from HK I handed in the invitation letter and other documents with the application. It was for a new job, not existing employment, I don’t know if there is a way around that or not.
JustinParticipantI’ve applied for a Z Visa in HK a couple times and have always found it to be a pretty painless experience.
JustinParticipantQuote:I had some friends refused in Hanoi, because they did not wear a shirt and shoes.Into the Embassy?
JustinParticipantMetro Supermarket defiantly has sour cream. I thought I’d bought it from Carrefour before, but last time I checked I couldn’t find it.
JustinParticipantLooks like a lot of fun, if I didn’t have class Tuesday morning, I’d be joining you.
JustinParticipantQuote:it’s a level of bitery that I’m not completely comfortable with.Get on board man. Ghostface is down with Bronson, they even have a colab or two together. I’m not a huge hip hop head, but Action Bronson is one MC I just can’t get enough of.
JustinParticipantHaha, thanks! I’d say I’m novice at best, I’m no where near as skilled as some friends, but it is a fun party favor.
JustinParticipantIt is the time for scary movies, I’m also interested. We watched Wes Craven’s People Under the Stairs last night to get in the mood for Halloween. I’d check out Lost Boys, Gremlins (Although its more of Christmas movie), Re-Animator or Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter.
JustinParticipantYes! Thanks for organizing this! Saturday was a good time all around. Looking forward to a massage today after all that riding around.
JustinParticipantI had a great time last night. The green tank was a perfect spot for a one off party like that. It’d be nice to see a series of parties at similar non traditional venues. Of course there could have been more people dancing through out the night, but that is the case with a lot of electronic music centered parties in Chengdu.
Anyway, looking forward till the next time something like this comes up.
JustinParticipantI plan on arriving around 9:30.
JustinParticipantGreat to see an event with multiple genres of music through out the night. Looking forward to the party tomorrow!
